Welcome to Prader-Willi Syndrome, Childhood Obesity, and Physical Activity Studies

Welcome! We are excited that you are visiting our home page. A few years ago with a grant from the Department of Defense we launched our first study on the topic of Prader-Willi Syndrome, a genetic disease that causes abnormally high levels of body fat and exercise. Now, we are also working on a second project aiming to increase levels of physical activity in children with and without Prader-Willi Syndrome. These projects are done by several collaborating faculty in the Departments of Kinesiology and Health Science at CSUF, the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and the University of Florida. Projects also involve undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in the fields of Kinesiology, Public Health, and Computer Science. We invite you to discover what we are doing to advocate for the role of physical activity in our lives!

- On behalf of my team, Dr. Daniela A. Rubin
